FAQ
Questions, Answered Plainly
If your question is not here, contact the practice — you will get a straight answer, not a sales pitch.
Do you accept insurance?
No. The practice does not accept insurance at this time. Services are available on a self-pay basis, and eligible personal injury cases may be considered under a Letter of Protection arrangement.
Do you provide telehealth?
Yes. All services are provided through secure telehealth sessions.
Where are you licensed? Do I have to live in Texas?
Uriahn Delgado is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in the State of Texas. Because therapy is regulated by the state where the client is located, you need to be physically present in Texas during your sessions. You do not need to live near any particular city — telehealth covers the entire state.
If you move out of state or travel, let us know. We will talk through options rather than continuing sessions where the practice is not licensed to provide care.
Do I need to have been in a car accident?
No. The practice also welcomes individuals seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, stress, and other life challenges.
Can my Personal Injury attorney refer me?
Yes. Attorneys may contact the practice regarding eligible referrals. Acceptance depends on availability, clinical appropriateness, and practice policies. See Attorney Referrals.
How do I get started?
Use the contact or appointment request form to inquire about services and receive next-step information.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a conversation about what brought you in, how it is affecting your daily life, and what you would like to be different. Together we set initial goals. You are never required to share more than you are ready to share.
What do I need for a telehealth session?
A device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a private space where you can speak freely. A secure session link is sent before each appointment.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes, within the limits required by law and professional ethics. Those limits — including risk of harm and legally mandated reporting — are explained during intake. Information is released to third parties, including attorneys, only with valid signed authorization.
What is a Letter of Protection?
A Letter of Protection is an arrangement provided through a client’s Personal Injury attorney regarding payment for treatment in connection with a pending claim. In appropriate cases the practice may work with clients under an LOP. Referrals are reviewed based on clinical appropriateness, availability, and practice policies.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Listen In Therapy PLLC provides talk therapy only. If medication may be helpful, we can discuss coordinating with a prescribing provider.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Contact the practice as early as you can. Cancellation and no-show policies are reviewed and provided in writing during intake.
What if I am in crisis?
This website and its forms are not monitored for emergencies. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
